HHC Tournament vs Pendleton Heights

In the opening round of the HHC Tournament, the Marauders made the short drive up State Road 67 to visit “The Barn” of the Pendleton Heights Arabians. In what was expected to be a grind it out-battle of a game, the visiting Marauders jumped out to a first half lead of 22-10. Connor Cox & Brian Heard led the Marauder attack by scoring half of MV’s points, before both players found themselves in some early foul trouble.

Out of the break, the Arabians ran wild as they outscored the Marauders 18-8. With three more Marauders in foul trouble, PH was able to capitalize & close the gap to two, 30-28, at the end of the third quarter.

During the 4th quarter break, Coach Williams challenged his team to find their heart & spirit. The Marauders responded, playing tougher defense (Kiryn Dahl w/ 3 blocks), rebounding exceptionally well (Dahl w/ 13 rebs), & aggressively getting to the free throw line (going 12/15 in the 4th qtr). MV rode the Arabians off into the sunset, advancing to the conference semi-finals, winning 45-35 & extending their winning streak to 7 games.
