Mt. Vernon senior soccer standout Lexi Hardie has signed her NLI to continue her education and soccer career at the University of Indianapolis. Hardie was a key contributor to a Marauders team that went 57-17-1 during her 4-year career. Hardie was named to the All Hancock County, All Hoosier Heritage Conference, and 1st team All District all four years of high school. Lexi was the Hancock County Player of the Year in 2015 & 2017, and was named to the All-State Academic Team twice. In 2016 & 2017 Hardie earned 3rd Team All-State honors, and was an Honorable Mention honoree in 2018. Hardie set the school record for assists in a season (27) as well as a career (85), the latter being the 2nd highest all-time for the state of Indiana.
Hardie plans to study physical therapy at UIndy, an NCAA Division II school located just south of downtown Indianapolis. The Greyhounds are members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
