MVHS Dance Team Wins State

The Mt. Vernon High School Gold Intensity Dance Team recently competed at the IHSDTA State Championships and brought home new titles: Varsity AA Pom State Champions, Varsity AA Hip Hop State Champions, and also was the State Runner-Up for Jazz. Sydney Shelton Receives Local and Statewide Accolades

MVHS’s Sydney Shelton was recently named as the 2014-2015 Hancock County Player of the year, as well as to Hancock County’s Girls’ Basketball Team.  Teammate Olivia Coleman also received the Hancock County Basketball Team honor.  Ariana Sandefur and Shaely Duff received Second Team Hancock County Girls’ Basketball Team, while Coach Steve Doud was named Coach
