After two months of practices, several contact tracings, multiple cancellations, and several postponements, the Freshman Marauders were finally able to play their first game.

In a closely fought contest throughout, the 9th grade Marauders were clearly a bit rusty in that they have not played a game together in nearly 11 months. After opening up a ten point lead midway through the third quarter, some costly mistakes allowed the Golden Bears to climb back into the ball game. In the end, the Marauders were able to start the 2021 calendar year with a win over a well-coached Shelbyville squad.

The Freshman Marauders will attempt to go 2-0 in the conference tomorrow night (Jan. 6) against the 9th graders of New Castle.
