The Lady Marauders tallied 15 hits on the day. Haley Kissee, Sydnee Perry, Maitlyn Griner, Alison Myers, and Zoey Taylor each had multiple hits for Mt. Vernon. Mt. Vernon was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single defensive error.

Mt. Vernon got things moving in the first inning. Macey Cox hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring the first run. The Marauders didn’t there scoring 5 more runs in the first. Mt. Vernon tallied seven more runs in the third inning. Mt. Vernon’s offense in the third inning came from home runs by Kissee and Cox and a single by Alison Myers.

Haley Kissee lead the Marauders by going 4-for-5 at the plate. Kissee had two singles in the first, homered in the third, and singled in the fourth.

Buck was credited with the victory for Mt. Vernon. She allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking zero.
